Damn it, you just ruined my angle, I was gonna buy them off ebay and resell them. LOL J/K

the 600.2 is $199 and the 1600.2 is $333.33 on ebay. SonicElectronix is the company name. He's got a lot of good prices and has an excellent ebay rating.

so how good are these amps? $300 for a 1600watt amp is very cheap.

SS amps were known as one of the best in the business a few yrs ago with their Reference and Rubicon series. But unfortunately they weren't doing so good and got bought out buy Power Akoustic. Who tried to revamp SS designs and use their own engineers. These amps completely failed. So they got the original SS Cheif engineer to design their new High end amps i.e. Van Gogh and Turantula.

I had a Reference 700s and let me tell you this amp was a monster and was one of the best amps built. These newer SS amps are modeled after them with newer technology and features added. Checkout www.soundstream.com

The reason why they are so cheap on ebay is because they are sold wholesale w/out a factory warranty.

I've heard good things about their subs but never got one. I'm going with a single Resonant Engineering(RE) XXX. Either a 12 or 15". If you want a high end sub look into RE, Adire Brahma, SI Magnums, ID Max, Death Penalties. And W7 ofcourse, but too pricey for my blood.

600 watts is what the little brother can do. The Big brother is rated at 1600 watts bridged at 4 ohms

Thanks man,

I'm gonna put them either side by side or one above the other on the trunk floor. Everything flush mounted. I think I need to build a false floor or something and mount the amps to that slightly lower then the trunk floor level so you only see the face of the amps. Not into the lights, I want to keep it nice, simple, and clean.

Cuspid? Never dealt with them or even heard of them. The main difference I see just by the auction. It says 1600 watts RMS but then it says 2x80 watts...LOL. Then it says 400x4. I dunno, alot of companies like to fool around with the numbers. Most great companies like to under rate their amps and most sucky companies like to over rate their amps. Plus this amp has barely any features and it's not bridgebale. 30 day warranty.

Heres are couple links about it:

http://www.automotiveforums.com/t188415.html
http://forum.carstereo.com/showthrea...tid=2135&fid=4
http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/7209.html

You really just have to do your research thoroughly before purchasing anything. Specially something important to you like car audio and you can't go cheap on the Central Nervous sytem.

Plus Soundstream has a proven track record, won many awards, and builds solid equipment. Cuspid is a no name brand and wouldn't even qualify to enter into a car audio show. I would rather beat that amp with a bat then hook it up in my car.
