Bose System with Upgraded Sub ('03 TLS)
Is it possible to keep the factory headunit and speakers and just upgrade the sub? The treble is loud enough when I play my Hard Rock and Metal selections, but the bass lacks when I want to bump my Rap and Techno. Has anyone done this?

dude my shit sounds great especially when i put the bass all the way up and open the hatch between the back seats. its awesome. i love how the bose speakers dont distort but the stock headunit is so outdated and u cant hook up a aftermarket head unit to the bose speakers.

i know.. the only reason i wanted to change my headunit was like everyone else, for my ipod.. but the new ipod classic actually sounds very good with the tape deck adapter.. now the only issue is bass when it comes to rap and techno..
if i can get away with just upgrading the sub then thats my best bet
gonna get a price quote this week
