Bose spec for the 97 CL !!

Hi Hi,
Does anyone happen to have a spec of the factory Bose system for the 97 CL ?? I realize that there's a spec for the 2001 CL, but what about the spec for the first generation ??

Thanks,

Well i know in my mom's Q45 w/the Bose system each speaker is independently amplified. This means there is no central amp and just a little amp attached to each speaker making upgrading and adding to the system very difficult as we found out. Not sure if this is the same for the CL or not since have a 2.2 which doesnt come w/the Bose. I would assume they do it the same though. I would think you could just open your trunk and remove one of your back speakers and see if there is an amp attached. Hope that helps some.

I want to say that the stock amp in located in the deck itself with the bose system. Otherwise, why would the deck get so hot during continous play, decks do not contain much else, other than amps, that produce heat. I have so far been unsucessful in locating the amp elsewhere, but I did notice if you trace the wires from the rear of the deck, they go down into the center console and under the passenger seat, not into that little black box, cause that is not an amp, but that does seem to be where the wires travel. I have my guy at my local shop looking into it for me, so if I find out more I will keep you all informed.

Hi Hi,
The Amp is located in the trunk near the jack just like the CL-S. However, any idea about which wires I can hook up with an audio signal through the Amp ?? If someone has a Helm manual, that will help.

Thanks !!
