Bose and Nav

ok heres the deal, picking up a 2001 type S with Navigation, I hate the bose, wanna gut the system and do my own, but does anyone know if the Navigation sound comes throught the stereo or does it have its own speaker?

I believe it does....If you change the system you loose that feature!

You're gonna lose your steering wheel controls too...


If I were you, I would leave the deck and replace everything else. The deck is made by Pioneer.

All u lose is that bitch saying "Right turn ahead" and the steering wheels controls . The audible beep that happens when u press button is still there .

The steering wheel controls can be fixed by using a part by PAC called a swi-x, its a universal steering wheel control interface, but none of you have heard of anybody hooking up something to keep the voice with an aftermarket stereo, i used to be an installer and did it in a IS300 with nav.
