BOSE adapter for aftermarket headunit

I searched everywhere i cant find what i was looking for, but i remember reading somewhere that BOSE makes an adapter that allows you to plug an aftermarket heaunit into their BOSE system.

this would be for a 2000 tl.

I know I read a post somewhere about this and i think it was uncald4 who mentioned it, but i cant find the thread on azine.

also i have a jvc kd-nx5000 what do i need to keep steering wheel controls?

Your in luck. i just installed a KD-ADV38 in my 01 Cl-S. The adaptor your talking about is made by PAC and its called the OEM2. Its a 4 channel switch that you connect to your aftermarket wiring harness, then connect to your cars old plug for the speakers. Uncald4 makes a kit that is a straight plugin from the stereo to the old plug for about 70 bucks. In order to retain the steering, you can purchase that from him as well, or you can check out ebay.
Heres a pict of the kit he sent with my jvc harness already wired by me. I also used the metra dash kit, wet sanded and painted.

Heres the link to the discussion.

Hope this helps.

You got it. I do get a ton of business from the east coast. I've been told that it's slim pickin's for good installers arounds them parts.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Word of mouth is worth a lot.

No sir. If you're replacing both the deck and all speakers you don't need a BOSE interface adapter. You WILL need to bypass your BOSE amp though.
