Bluetooth problems with Sony-Ericsson T68i
I had no problem pairing my phone with the car. The problem is that even though the phone is paired, the car will not "use" the phone. When I enter the HandFreeLink menu, it just says "No Information Available" (or something like that). When I try the voice command "Call" - I just get the reply "No phone found".
Because there is very little to configure on the car itself, it would seem to me that I have a setting fouled up on my T68i. I've tried every conceiveable option I can find but nothing seems to fix the issue. I'm sure I have done something immensely stupid and just need someone wiser than me to help.
Anybody else already been down this road?
Thanks in advance,
Birkey

never stops!
I could pair my T68i without any problem. Just make sure you put that in discovrable mode before you tried to pair it. By default it exit out of discovery mode after 3 mins I guess.

I had NO PROBLEM pairing the phone to the car.
The problem is that the car refuses to see and use the phone now that it is paired.

How long ago did you buy your T68i? Throw me an email... this might lead to doing a firmware upgrade but I don't want to tie up the bandwidth for this board swapping information back and forth...although, reply if you would like. ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Try starting out by selecting your bluetooth to be discoverable or on. Before doing that, power cycle (turn off then on) the phone. See what this does and we can go from here.

Problem resolved
I returned the T68i and got the Sony-Ericsson T610. Had the T610 paired and working in about 60 seconds. Life is good.
I do believe recent post'er was correct - in that the T68i was in need of a firmware upgrade but this is not a do-it-yourself upgrade. At the end of the day, it was much easier to just return the T68i and fork over a few more bucks for a much better (and newer) phone.
Thanks all.
