bluetooth install
I ordered a parrot ck3000 bluetooth handsfree kit a few days ago. I was originally going to get the ericsson hcb-30 but it was out of stock and the guy told me to look at the parrot because it was better. Long story short, I read somewhere that the acura's bose radio doesnt support the mute function and the ability to channel the volume through the speakers. Does anyone know if this is true? The radio needs to have iso connectors i think. If anyone has had experience with this or knows in general about the tl's factory radio capabilities i would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Mike.
I have the SE bluetooth kit I'd sell you if you're interested.
I had it in my old car, but just got a 2004 TL with bluetooth.
I still have all the manuals.
PM me if you're interested.

Hello Nick,
I am interested in getting the bluetooth kit for my 02 TL. Can you give me some additional info? Do I have to have it installed by a Pro? Does it work well with the car stereo?

Hi Jay.
The bluetooth car kits dont' really integrate with your car at all.
Mine does have a mute cable to connect to your factory stereo to get it to mute when a phone call comes in, but that's about it.
The BT kit consists of a control module, a speaker, a mic and a control pad.
The control pad is what you have to press to answer/hang-up calls, adjust volume, etc. This is mounted with sticky pad to the dash.
The speaker has a bracket that screws into the car somewhere.
The mic has a sticky pad.
Overall the bluetooth kit is just cool as you don't have to physically connect your phone into any kind of cradle to make it work.
I still have my kit available.
