Best way to run a XM antenna from trunk?

Hi guys i have a 2000 acura tl and i recently got a xm satellite radio receiver from my uncle. It comes with a very long cable so i mounted the antenna to my trunk (its magnetic) and I just left it there for now before i continue and finish install on monday.

Before I started I just wanted to know how the best way would be to route the cable to the front. And any other tricks or tips for making this install easier and quicker. TIA!

I've actually never run a sat antenna before, logically I would think you can put it on the backside of the trunk toward the rear window..

im actually going to install Sirius soon and figured i can put the magnet on the trunk. Just run the wire thri/under the back seats then under the carpet section on the hump and you can either tuck it under the center console or for better results take the whole center out and run it to the stereo/xm unit.

guys thats so much more of a PITA than is necessary ... stick it to the dash front center, run the wire to passenger side, under past glovebox and into the console

i've had sirius & XM in 4 cars and never gone farther than the dash

Anybody!!
Installed new head unit in my 01 cl last Thursday. Installed 2 amps today (1) 4 channel alpine (1) mono channel alpine. Been reading for ideas all day and am sooo frustrated....I dont know what to do.

So...installed the amps today and have no sound out of the mids or highs. Bass works fine. Read today about the amp in the back (had car for a week), that is why i have no sound. Find it and read some more. See a thread about the wiring diagram for the speakers, but i ran wire from the new wiring harness to the amp on thursday, not gonna work because it was going right to the stock amp, right?? So cut the harness off, run new wires from the harness location to the amp and splice wires per diagram.....now the fucking radio wont turn on!!! What needs to happen too get me back on line before I kill my dog or something!!! Please help!!!

Thanks!!!

Wrong spot for the post. Should've started a thread.. You have me lost with your post. Did you really cut the harness off? Did you unplug the battery while you were "cutting and splicing?"

I installed an XM Commander a few years ago. The control unit/receiver mounts behind the dash so...

I pulled the center console in order to get to the radio. Since it was all open anyway, I pulled the rear seat and ran the wire under the rear carpet into the console and then to the head unit.

Hope this helps
