best sound deadener

i know there are different types of sound deadener out there, some are like a mat, some are foam....etc.
what do you guys think is the best kind to go with, and also, what company is real good? the only company i've really heard of is dynamat. anything else out there that's cheaper and better?
also, is it enough to just do the trunk and front doors, or does it make a huge difference if i do the whole car?

I don't know much about the sound deadening...I can give you a couple of names other than dynamat though. Cascade & Fatmat are two more. Fat mat I belive is a subdivision of Dynamat but I could be wrong.

Check a local hardware store for some "Peel N Seel" it's basically the same thing except amazingly cheaper. I

believe reading someone talked to the company that produces Peel N Seel and they said they sell product to a company whos focus is car audio. If I can find the link I'll show you.

edit: heres the link: http://www.caraudiolounge.com/index.php?showtopic=5146

I never got around to doing this on my old car, but I am seriously considering it on this car, especially once I have some extra money for a sub/amp.

Cascade is awesome. No smell, sticks like crazy. Any online audio shop should have it.

Cascade. They have LOTS of different types to chose from, depending on your application, and it was very easy to work with.

www.partsexpress.com has it, so does www.mmxpress.com
