Best FM Transmitter
I've had 3 FM transmitters. ('05 TSX non-navi stock head unit)
(1) Griffin I-trip. problem: Uses Ipod battery and dock connector so recharging while using can't be done. advantage: very portable
(2) DLO Transdock Micro. plugs into cigarette lighter power and recharges/powers Ipod; some background whine (from electrical system?)
(3) Kensington digital FM transmitter plugs into cigrarette lighter power and recharges/powers Ipod; reasonable sound quality
The sound quality of (1) and (2) were average. (3) had the noticeably better sound.
All of these units are subject to the usual FM transmitter problem - some background hissing and noise - it's radio. And you have to locate a blank frequency.
I've have since switched to Isimple/Peripheral direct connection to eliminate the background hissing/noise and got steering wheel controls as a bonus.
