okay you guys were right. I went to bestbuy yesterday, and listended to the top of the line rockford speakers, with a 250 Kenwood amp, a 10 inch pioneer subwoofer. My g-d it smokes the Bose **** that we have. Now I understand what you guys mean by the "highs"...he played something where the tweeters were the wow factor. He then covered the tweeters with his hands, and out came my Bose!!!

is there anyway to add something to our stock stereo to make it sound like 100 times better? possibly tweeters? the guy tried to sell me on rockford speakers w/ tweeters in the front and JBL 2 ways for the back, plus 2, 2 way amps to control the speakers, and the pioneer 10 inch sub in the trunk, with all the wiring and installation, he wanted over $2k cdn dollars. Is that too expensive?

anyway to make our system much better? btw he mentioned that this would be the best way since there's no head unit, and if a thief were to look inside the car, he wouldn't see anything aftermarket, since the factory speaker covers would be on....

I also read about dx-6 speakers? what company makes them? where can I buy them? and how much are they?

 

In my opinion, just add a box to the trunk, and maybe disconnect your stock sub. Turn you bass all the way down on your speakers and the gains a little up, therefore making all the bass go to the box and making ur speakers right now just for mids and highs. If you still dont like it, then go for all the other stuff. That is how I had it in my previous accord and loved it. It wont cost you that much.
