I'm putting together a very small, very cheap system for my Jeep. Any suggestions for a <$100 woofer?

 

You should be able to find a 10" or 12" Rockford in the clearance section at Best Buy for $80 or so...I've never had any problems with them...

The Infinity's are awesome subs...I have a couple myself and love them...only wish I got them that cheap.

 

I had a perfect 12.1 when I had the CL, I'm kicking myself for having sold it. It was great.

 

I ended up getting (2) infinity perfect 10.1, a sealed q logic box, and a RF punch 3002. Sweet deals on Crutchfield right now.

 

yea, i was looking at the perfects too, good deal , but i wish they had to 10.1d.
I ended up buying some other subs, that hopefully will be better though. Probably time for me to sell some stuff

 

I got Pheonix Audio subwoofers 10'' I forget the name of them but they were 35 $ / speaker.

I got 3 of them and a 1,000watt Hifonics class D amp. All together it was ~220$ and 30 for an

amp wire kit... good luck putting it in, getting thru the firewall sucks balls

 

What did you get?

 

I bought some slightly used O audio TC2+ 10" DVC. I don't think they offer them new anymore . They used to only run $114 a piece brand new, and was great bang for the buck.

 

Must mean the new models are coming out soon.

 

I just put a new JL 10W1v2 in my accord and its awesome!

 

^ I was considering that, but with the buy one get one free deal, I got two of these Infinitys for $150. I can toss one up on eBay for $80 and end up with a steal.


If it wasn't for that I probably would have bought the JL. What amp are you running it with?

 

I know you alreayd got subs but for under 100 i would have suggested audiobahn stuff. i have an audiobahn aw1200q 12 and it bangs with a fosgate 301s. @ only 80-85 shipped on ebay its such a steal.

 

If your really looking at getting something decent that isn't too expensive, then i would consider looking at Circuit City if you got one around (best buy isn't as good where i am from at all). The guys there did a sweet job for me with 2 Kicker C10's, Kicker 300ZX amp w/ a seperate amp volume control, and they even dynamated my whole trunk and liscense plate so it doesn't rattle at ALL!! They run specials all the time and if talk to them in advance, they can usually cut off some stuff on install too!

 

i got the buy-one-get-one Kappa Perfect 10.1's. believe me, i work for best buy and get sick deals on car audio... i wouldnt pass up on these infinitys. they sound amazing, running on a 600wx1 rms Xtant amp in a sealed box

I had a single perfect 12.1 vq in my last system, it was pretty impressive.

 

I used to have a 10" Perfect when they first came out. That thing would play so darn deep and low.

 

Change of plans I got a Boston Acoustics G210-4 instead.
