basslink is causing interference, what can i do?

we tapped off the rear speakers, used the ground for one of those netting plugs that screws into the trunk metal, ran power to the battery. we did not use a remote turn on. now heres the problem.

the basslink works fine with the bass knob. but when i turn off the car the bass is on constant. like one loud continuous bass. when i open the trunk all the way the bass goes away, but when the trunk is closed, the bass comes back.

if you looking in the 03 cl trunk, theirs 2 thin support bars that move back and forth when the trunk is opening and closing. when the trunk is closing, those support bars move right under the magnets of the rear speakers and we think is has something to do with that.

does anyone know how to get rid of this problem?

thanks

Check your grounds first off.. That would be the first thing to check..

Did you use a converter to get the signal?

no we tapped off the rear speakers. and the ground should be fine, it is around a screw that holds in the trunk netting connected to the side of the trunk.

Try moving the ground to the bolt under the trunk floor at the fuel pump door as per silverknights writeup.

ground is always the first thing to check, justmove it around and see if that helps, otehrwise i would look at an aftermarket line level converter.

I'd say 50% of the time anyhting that goes wrong it's usually the ground.. Try by the fuel pump door as said and check back..

why would the ground be causing interference though. the bass is fine when the trunk is closed, but when u open and close the trunk, if u kneel down and look inside when your opening and shutting the trunk, u can see the support bars moving underneath the magnet of the 6x9's.

im going to check my ground, but im almost positive thats not the case.
