i tried to look for one of those volume controls but gave up looking. the only options i could find were either adding an equalizer or getting an amp that had an optional external volume control connection for the passenger cabin. i ended up getting an amp...mtx thunder 4250D. i also purchased the optional volume control which plugs into the amp and is controlled from the drivers location. it's one great thing to be able to control the volume of the sub. the amp cost $340. volume control is $30.00. that's what i did....others may have better, cheaper suggestions.

I don't know if this is for just certain punch amps of if its for any kind of amps. I know certain punch amps come with this volume control, but this one says it will control 8 channels. Its all the way at the bottom of the page http://www.carmedia1.com/rockfordamplifiers.htm

There are 2 equalizers I'm looking at to do this. One is the Audio Control 3.1, and the Eclipse 21010. Im edging towards the Eclipse because it has more options. They both cost around $250.

Get an Orion (Xtreme or HCCA) amp, they have optional remote volume controlls, and they are sweet amps too.

Alot of the brands usually have one model that has the remote bass control. I've got it on my Kicker IX405d.

I had a few options, but ultinately went with the Alpine G190 Sub Processor. It has 3 rca outpus that worked perfectly with the Soundstream 5 channel amp.
It allows for Complete Sub control (Gain, High and Low crossover frequencies), it aslo allows for complete tweeking of the rest of the speakers.

My PG Ti600 2 channel has an external bass control knob which is mounted right by the cruise on/off switch. There is also an on/off toggle switch for the amp that is mounted behind the hood pull tab.

Amp was $520 plus $20 s/h

I wanted the same thing, but I already had an amp that did not have an input/output for a sub control. I got a bass control knob (PAC LC-1) that has rca inputs and outputs so you can add it to any amp. The run about $20. Not bad and it gives you the same control.

If you don't have an amp already, you would do better to just purchase an amp with a bass control knob.

Alpine makes a volume knob, in a cool little enclosure, with RCA inputs and outputs... theres no other connections, it just varies the volume of the RCA cable... I think they are like $60...
