"Auto" climate control feature on Navi.........

Today I noticed that when I pushed the "Auto" button, the AC comes on at what it seems like speed 1.

I do remember everytime I did the Auto it would come on full blast, it was that way since I 1st bought the car. It was like that all the time that I got used it doing "fan speed 1"

Anyone else exp something like this?

It starts off slow for about 2 seconds then goes full blast. I think it's thinking what's the best way to get to the temp you set it at as quickly as possible so it takes a few secs to determine what fan/vent settings to use, and time for the vents to actually move into position.

I remember that, but now when I do push Auto it doent go into full blast mode. It stays at what seems to be level 1. Temp doesnt matter, I tried diff temps and it would always stay at the same level, and never go into full blast like it used to.

It is dependent on the temperature conditions of both the interior and exterior. If you have a high exterior temperature and a lower interior temperature, the computer will adjust the fan speed so that it cools quickly. However, if you have a low exterior temperature and you have selected a low interior temperature, then you will have a lower fan speed because it doesn't need to run as hard to get to the desired temperature.

Park your car outside in the sun for about an hour and then get in, set the temperature to 70, then hit auto. The fan speed should be fairly high.

My car is parked outside all the time. No trees around, so its in the sun.

The past few days have been pretty hot (high80s), the AC temp is always set at 67. Actually this is how I noticed this in the 1st place, when it took longer that usual to get cool inside and I realized the fan speed was low and on Auto. So I manually turned the fan speed to 3 (which what its seems like the auto speed was), then turned it back to Auto. It went back to a low speed.

I tested that out a few times and its the same thing. Even when it was 90+ outside (last weekend) Auto was on a low fan setting.

Might be something wrong with your temp sensor. Take it in...
