I'm sure the correct answer to the question is in the owner's manual. You did read it, right?
The alarm never auto-arms itself. However, it does auto-REarm. If the alarm is already armed and you remote unlock the doors, but do not open them, after 30 seconds the doors will re-lock and the alarm will re-engage.
The manual has some good information here. Sometimes my wife and I go out to a nice place and relax in the car with the windows down and read or do some work, the car won't arm automatically, but will re arm as noted.
