your gonna need a box for the sub and possibaly a new HU, then an amp wiring kit. it all depends on what kind of products u buy.

i agree with Rajca....the only thing that fits under the stock sub is the kicker but it doesnt sound as nice as a speaker with a custom box....

best buy aint going to know what to do. geek squad dont know how to get our center console apart. hehehehe

get a new head unit and faceplate adapter, run it to the amp and sub. and use the metra harness to wire the doors up. search for a few threads hear to show you how to do everything. its not that hard. the biggest pain is to get the stock sub to work with a new head unit which ur not even doing, and take out the Bose cd changer.

i would say go for it - do it urself. there are a few great DYI hear.

eventhough i totally agree with u the stock sub wont sound as good or nice as a custom box sub would...the stock sub blows out quickly and sounds like when it does...

My buddy works at best buy check this u can keep ur stock hu u just gotta get a hi-lo. They gonna probably charge u about 100 just bkuz u got a bose. Its about 75 bucks to install subs and amp at best buy. If u buy the wire kit is 100 at best buy. then u need an enclosure and there gonna try to sell you the best one they have and its on sale right now for 89.99 its a bassworks vented box. so basically going to best buy your looking at 200-300 bucks installed bkuz i think all best buys are the same.

Go to an independent shop. They're usually cheaper and the installation techs are more experienced. Just don't go to a hole-in-the-wall shop. They may be cheaper still but usually they hire amateurs that can screw up your car in a hurry.

Do not go to Best Buy for installs. I got lazy and didn't want to do the first install in my Accord, and wow did they do a piece of shit job. I had to take everything out and re-run the wires and everything.

lol Best Buy mostly has amateurs doing installs. There are very very few that have good installers. They just learn by the book and get there basic MECP installers license. Other than that, they're idiots. lol

Places like Advanced Car Creations and Louder Than Life, they know what's up. And the Audio American I used to work at, they do very clean installs because they TAKE THEIR TIME!
