audio problem
audio problem
I replaced the Head Unit with a sony CDXGT610UI. I now have problems with the speaker in the rear passengar. There is buzzing sound that wont go away. The rest of the speakers sound fine. I made sure that the unit was not pinching any wires. Replaced the wire harness, still didn't fix the problem. I think its the factory amp. Does anyone know how to , if so and instructions on how to?

Let me know, very green at this type of stuff.

Reverse the connections to the rear outputs at the HU. If the problem moves to the drivers side, the problem is probably in the HU.
Also, is the buzzing all the time, in any mode. ie radio /disc ???
Buzzing is a typical symtom of a missing ground connection or even a missing preamp audio connection.
Recheck all connections for that circuit for that speaker.
Please be methodical, and document what you do so you can retrace any changes you may make.
Let me know what you find...
Good luck,

This is where I normally do a reality check when I'm working on a problem.
One, There is definitly a problem with somewhere in your car stereo.
Two, Until specific parts of the stereo system are positively eliminated as the source of the problem, .....everything .... everything .... is suspect.
Three, The great thing about trouble resolution with a stereo unit is that it has two sides left and right. If one side is working and the other isn't, Swapping left and right side connectings with the power off and retesting with the power on allows you to quickly locate the problem. Please reconsider my earlier post concerning testing. Also sides can be swapped before and after each device. ie equalizer/ poweramp if you have the Acura pinout wiring schametics. You may have received wiring diagrams with the harnesses.
I am still leaning towards some sort of wiring issue. Possibly a poor/ miswired connection to the AMP driving that speaker.
Testing will definitely tell you where the problem is.
Good Luck,
RJay
