ive been wanting to get this for a while now, but i need opinions! is it worth dishing out 8 bills for this? also i want to know how much would you charge me (just to mount it in making a custom fit)?
other installs i can do by myself(for fun).

It's a nice unit for sure...you only want it for the monitor? Or are you replacing the factory headunit? What brain do you plan on using if you are using it as a tuner also?

Installation with a custom face plate would start around $75 and up depending upon what you want done.

i like that price!
i just need a face plate to install the avx(non cd), and another din underneath it(possibly something similar to the the kenwood, http://crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-mTC...13Z828&o=M&a=0 ) so togehter a double din fit
the brain i was thinking the pioneer avm-p9000r, or 8000 i feel like there wont be much diffrence and wastin money buying the 9000, any suggestions?
for the dvd i might just get the playstaion 2 installed so it'll take care of the dvd and ps2 games, this even doable?

ps i didnt know Iselin is that far from here, i live close to where the george washington bridge is(fort lee area), i took garden state all the way down to sandy hook and saw the exit for iselin. probaly an hour drive!

I like the poineer second only to alpine only because I don't care for poineer headunits to much. You got a excellent screen with topnotch GUI graphics. Enjoy!!!!

Pioneer is probably the best unit out there in terms of color quality, sharpness of picture, and the fact it has a 7in screen compared to the Alpine which is only 6 or 6.5 The new Pioneer(not sure what model) has a dvd player right underneath, no more needing a dvd changer.

You mean can you use the PS2 with the AVX? You can use anything, the brain has RCA imputs.
