hey, who else on here has cut their doors anyway? i havent heard that anyone else has done so...

Don't install the 6.5's
Trade with bozzchem for the 5.25's
He's already mounted the 5.25's in a spacer that will fit. You don't want to cut the door panels!!

Now that's funny.
Actually, I came within an eyelash of emailing you yesterday about a trade. These speakers are 2 7/8 deep. I figured you would have have a spacer of over 1" and that would risk sticking out too far. I was just about to quit and then I realized, I could put them in my MDX. I already have 5 1/4 Chameleons in there so, take them out and just swap. I ran out of time but, it is going to work pretty easy. The spacers I had made for the MDX were about an 1/8 to short so, I will have to make new spacers. The 6 1/2 will just drop right into the MDX. Just a little plastic cutting. So, problem solved. Sorry Bozz
