Apline type R - installation question

I bought the alpine type R speaker. I wonder is the speaker hard to install? Do I have to buy a spacer in order to mount the speaker?

Please tell me your experience of installing this speaker. Thanks

i bought my type r components in march, and ive yet to put in the door speakers, only because you have to cu the door to make them fit. the speaker is too wide and deep, so not only will you have to cut, but youll have to add a spacer of i think 1/2" - 1" so that it doesnt hit the window... i heard the type s fit with no problem though...

i know i know. ive had these speakers just sitting around for about 3 months now, its time i get em in. im having my friend do it june 5th. he hooked up my sub and amp and wired my full range 6x9s, so im gonna have him do the doors too. just seems like it can go so wrong with the cutting... so june 5th!!

--also, should i get a small amp to power my interior speakers, since by then theyll all have been replaced except for the rear doors... or should i just swap out the rear doors with some type s coax's?
