Anyone with understanding of JL sub wiring!
Please help! I need to know If an amp that produces 200 W at 4Ohms(14.4v) will be able to power 2 JL 10w3s with the D2 voice coil configuration. The amp is stable down to 1 OHM loads but does that mean it can handle the subs with that voice coil config? I have been running a single 1st gen 10W3 with two channels of a JL 300/4 bridged for a bout a year and I have recently had the sub replaced with the V2 D2. I want to buy another 10W3 V2 and would like to use this amp if possible to power them, http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2481 . I have trying to search the A/V forum but the info I need regarding the the new JL subs has not been previously asked, thank you to anyone who can give me any input, advice or admonishment for trying to power such fantastic subs with anything less than the JL1000/1.

personally i am not a fan of kenwood anything... and i really think that you would be under powering those 2 subs with that amp... you might want to look into the jl 500/1 or phoenix gold amps...

Perfect amp for those subs... Wire the coils in series, and the subs in parallel. Series is + to -, and the connect the +'s and -'s between the subs. You're a little on the short side of power, but definately not a problem. Those subs are pretty efficient, and if you already have the amp, you're great, if not, there are a lot of things in that price range or a few bucks less that are comparable power wise, if not more....
