Anyone owns the VALENTINE ONE?

Does anyone here owns the VALENTINE ONE radar detector? I just wanted some feedback... is it worth the money? Has it been useful? ...etc... Thanks.

Highly recommend it. Mine is hardwired and located to the left of the rear view mirror. Has a good view front and back and is easy to hit the mute button when needed.

V1 worth every penny!! For example.. It was 2 something Saturday morning this past weekend.. I was cruising 55mph..Suddenly, my v1 was pointed backward going off like crazy on and off.. and I look back, I couldn't tell if that is a cop or not.. because he was like 10 car back... Its beeps for a half a mile or so.. Next thing you know.. he cut through the median on the highway and got some car on the opposite side... But I wasn't speeding either.. So conclusion is the arrow is pretty helpful determing the signal ... Good luck your choice

The V1 is a very good radar and the arrows are VERY helpful. But if you get to know your radar (Eg. Beltronics, Passport, etc.) .. it works just as good. I have a Passport 8500 and I know when a cop is behind or in front of me .. just takes time to get to know a radar without the helpful :p arrows.

I mounted mine just like PlanoTLS said...
Just alittle below the mirror on the driver side.. then I ran my wire along the top of the liner all the way to the driver side pillar and all the way down.. Since I have a conceal unit also...
I tapped the power wire to the fuse box and ground it at the same time.. So when I turn on the key, the V1 will turn on automatically... Sorry I don't have any pics to guide you.. Perhaps others have one?

Hey check out www.radartest.com... its a bunch of retired police officers that test all sorts of radars, check out the rating for the escort 8500, the only advantage the valentine has is that it has the direction of were the cops are coming from... but that should'nt matter, if it beep im sure youll slow down no matter where the pig pens at... plus the velentines are so ugly looking!!! the 8500 scored all perfect scores, look at the 2003 reviews its on the second page in the middle... there you'll find the results... plus you can pick one up for $300 at the most... hey thats the price of one speeding ticket! plus it won't raise your ins. at all...
