Anyone ever use wired FM transmitter?

I'm looking into purchasing this for my girl friend's accord.

http://www.ubid.com/Harman_Kardon_DP...901786428.html

but not sure how the quality of the wired FM transmitter is. The Aux wire is expensive compared to this and this has a nice dash display.

You get what you pay for. I've only heard bad stuff about FM transmitters. If she not an audio fanatic, she might not mind the quality as long as she can hear the music. That's how I used to be in my younger years lol. The display is not bad though

FM trans is garbage. Hard wire, or nothing. It's more than worth the added expense. JMO.

Even a WIRED FM transmitter? They have a FM adapter the plugs right into the FM antenna.

I know transmitting the FM sucks, but was hoping that wired might be better.

Wired ones are better, but still inferior to an aux adapter, and at just about the same cost. Look into an aux adapter that affords you RCA style inputs, you will be thankful.

Agree. If you ABSOLUTELY have to, then a wired FM Mod is MUCH MUCH better than wireless. But, a true aux in is the way to go if at all possible.

Agree as well. Even a wired mod is only as good as your tuner section. Wireless is pathetic. If you have no other option, wired can be acceptable but, like the others posted, a true aux. input is tons better.
