Does anyone have experiences with the Rockford Fosgate RFT3101 10" Subwoofer with Ported Enclosure? I was thinking about getting this but not sure if its good. Or should I just get one of those boxed subs? Also, what amp would you suggest and how much power would be good enough. I don't want anything too much, just enough to get good deep bass when volume is low. Thanks.

 

I personally dont like fosgate. If you want a really good 10" sub and still have good bass, go with the new Kicker Solo-Baric L7's. They are louder than most 10's and 1 10 will fit in a .66 cubic in. sealed box. As for an amp, if you get a 4 channel you would be able to power your sub along with the other speakers in your car. That way you will get a fuller sound out of the rest of your speakers. Look into DEI, US Amps, Kicker, PPI for a good amp.

 

Thanks for your help. I wasn't really sure what were the differences between a 2 channel sub and a multi channel sub. One other question though, how much power do I need to get good sound out of my speakers and sub with a multi channel sub? I can't get anything too expensive because I'm on a budget right now.
