Another Video on navi thread

OK guys... Heres my dilema. I recently purchased an AVC-RGB1 navi kit that was made my SteveSTMS, back when he was originally selling them. Does anyone have the exact instructions he used to include with the kit? Im not looking for the ones other people designed, im looking for the exact ones he included with his kit originally. Can anyone help me out?

For some reason I think he deleted his original post on the instructions, but I have it printed out somewhere I think, but if not I will do a write-up on it for doing it from the back of the car via the navigation unit plugs (easier is you ask me).

Well, I can use those because the wire colors are the same in the front and the back. I do want to install the kit in the trunk, but it is already modified with the short wires, to mount behind the nav. I really dont want to open it up, and re wire it. The reason I wanted his instructions, was because He picked these wire colors, and he knew where they went. The wires are: Display connector: white, red, green, yellow
Wire Harness: white, red, green, yellow
Then 3 brown and green wires ( which Im assuming are 12+, key on, and ground. Then one lone green wire (which I think is the parking brake wire) Any thoughts?

Yup the long green wire should be the parking wire. Just ground it.

Correct. You can still mount it in the trunk though even with the short wires because you can attach it to the rear deck. The only downside is running the RCA's all the way to the back (isn't a big project, but way easier than taking apart the dash

i figured Id mount it in the front, because it would be easier to do then extending the wires for the switch. I dont mind running the rca wire, because since I am going to mount the DVD player in the trunk anyway, I will have to run audio RCA wires to the blitz adapter i nthe front. Were you able to find those instructions?

Not yet...i'll look when i get home. If not I will scan in the wiring diagram from the Helms wiring diagram and label all the wires you need to splice into.

Cool. Thanks. Do you where each wire coming off of the decoder goes to? Thats why I wanted Steve's instructions. Since he built it, he would know which wires went where.

I just looked around and unfortunately I was unable to find them. Either way, I don't know what Steve used as his color code for each of the wire so I wouldn't be able to tell you which wire went where. Streeteffectz might have them because he was the first one who bought his kit.
