So yeah Im gonna need some people to make me get over some worries on my latest purchase. After reading on the forum and doing a couple searches I decieded to buy a usaspec for an acura 04 tsx without navi instead of a dice. I couldnt figure out what the difference between the two were and it basically came down to the usaspec thing being 10 dollars cheaper. Did I make the right choice? how are the two different? is one better than the other? I need some reassurance on my almost impulse purchase.
oh and sorry for another ipod integration post. The power outlets in my car went out recently and I decieded that, that was a good enough excuse to upgrade. If anybody knows how to check if I blew a fuse or not on the outlets before I take it into the dealer please respond here as well or pm me.

First off, your fusebox is by the hood release lever down at your left foot. Grab a flashlight and go down there, it is likely that your power outage is due to a $0.10 fuse.
Second: The usa spec (pa11-hon2y) is a great unit. So is the Dice. The usa spec offers full size RCA inputs in addition to ipod, while the dice offers 1/8" stereo mini aux in addition to ipod. The nicer Dice unit also offers text on your HU / Navi from your iPod, at the expense of your XM input. There's reasons why people would prefer one or the other depending on what they are going to use them for.
For now, I do prefer the usa spec, as Dice is working out a small issue where some of their units experience a power-on problem, where they do not appear to start up along with the car. I stress that it appears to be a small percentage of the units out there, and Dice knows about it and is fixing it. However, I have had a usa spec for some time now, with never a 1 fault on it.
Hope all this helps justify your (good!) impulse decision.

Thanks for your response! The 04 doesnt come with a XM radio so unfortunately the track info wont bet displayed even if I got the dice unit. Now I just have to wait till the usaspec shows up to install it! Thanks for the heads up on the location of the fuse. I'll take a look at it later today and see whats wrong with it.
