After recently installing my system ( 3 Audiobahn Flame q 10's, 2 Audiobahn 2300hct amps, 2 2.4 Farad caps, Alpine 9811 Head)

when i turn the voulme up the power will be cut to the whole system, then it will reset and restart.... the odd thing is that the caps dont drain, or even fluctuate....

my best guess was that because of the added drain of the amp(i have only 1 runniong due to this problem) and the HU, which is powering my speakers, the power gets turned off to protect the system.

my question is how to fix this... would removing stress from the HU, by installing a component amplifier help, or should i go straight to the alternator? i was thinking i'd go with the 180 amp one dustbuster4 has... unless anyone has better ideas... thanks

 

how do you have the 2 amps running 3 speakers? how is it hooked up and at what ohm on each amp?

 

the subs are dual 4ohm vc. so each sub is running one set of vc's.

 

oops, forgot to add that this makes each amp see 1.34 ohms.
