Alpine TUE-T151 TV Tuner $160 shipped

Here is the link. I just bought mine and hope to have it installed by next weekend.

http://www.hookedontronics.com/sales...e_TUE-T151.htm

It was $148 plus $12 shipping. $160 shipped! Most places are selling it for $199 plus shipping.

Just got my Navi vid converter from Dom for the last deal of $168 shipped (Now $299) and found the deal for my tv tuner! Yeah baby! Now I can tune in to the 5am news on my hour trek to work. Cha ching!

Can't wait to update the mods list!

Soon to ad----TV tuner and PS2/DVD player---

Just out of curiousity, what TV broadcast stations come in in Port Orchard? Because broadcast TV reception using that NESA-with-an-Alpine-T-shirt is going to suck, just like every other TV tuner in a car in the world (except the HDTV receivers in Europe, which work while moving, unlike the US standard...)

Well I live out here in the sticks and don't subscribe to cable (not home enough) and my old school antenna on the side of the house pics up about 16-20 uhf/vhf stations. The car probably won't get any here in Port Orchard, but I'm sure that when I hit Tacoma or Seattle I will get a few. We will find out what stations come in within the 55 miles to work and post them later. Have you tested this new Alpine unit yet?

CJams, that's not what Eld is trying to do. He is just pointing out that the reception is probably not going to be that great, so don't get your hopes up too high.

It really depends on your area though. I have a TV tuner in my car and I'm actually very happy with my reception on the freeway. I live pretty close to the TV antenna towers though, so you may or may not get good TV reception. Also, before getting it I knew that the picture would not be perfect like watching cable at home, and I was prepared for the worse.

Congrats on getting the Navi conversion and TV tuner though. Getting that Navi converter opens the door for an infinite number of possible add-ons

I can't wait to get it! I drive through Tacoma and Seattle so I should get a signal somewhere along the way. If not....to ebay with it! And yes the Navi converter is going to open up a world of options. I plan on putting a PS2 slim in the glove box for my dvd player. The first thing everyone says is...you know the clarity of the pic won't be that great on the nav screen. I am sure it will be good enough to tell what I am watching. But anywho...this thread was for anyone who wanted a tuner for thier car. I thought it was a good price shipped.....Just make sure your mailing address is the same as your CC billing address. If not you have to jump through hoops and your order will be pushed back a day or 2 like mine was. They shipped it today instead of yesterday.

Yep...CCColtsIceHockey has a slim Ps2 in the glove box of the TSX. You should hit him up.

Nice avatar by the way man....Chicken Adobo is damn good

I get 13 station sitting in my driveway way the hell out in the sticks. I get just as many stations in my car as I do from that big a$$ antenna on the side of the house.

I'm sure you do.

Unfortunately, moving reception and stationary reception are different.
