Ok, finally got the system installed, running great, still have to break it in and fine tune it, learning how with all these damn settings. Anyways, i have the Alpine 9855, bought the aux in jacks and hooked up my dell mp3 player. it works, except that:

1. i can only adjust the vol from the mp3 player itself, not the HU, no bass from the sub, and the sound is not good at all

2. with the player off, and in aux mode, i can hear a faint bit of interference, not sure what, the radio

I dont have sat raido, just the cd player, reg am/fm radio, and now the mp3 hooked into the aux port.

any thoughts to this, is this a setting i have to change in the HU?

 

Did you ever resolve this. I asked in another post about the connection and it looks like I answered my own question. Did you get the sub finally working with it?
