Alpine DVD in dash

I need some of your advice on the install of a new DVD system in my car. I have a 2000 non-NAV TL and I just got hooked up with a brand new video system that I need to have installed.

Monitor is an Alpine CVA-1005, DVD player is an Alpine DVA-5205. I also have an Alpine 6 disc CD changer and a 550 watt Soundstream Rubicon amplifier. My question is whether or not I can (or should) install all of this with my factory speakers. Most aftermarket shops are quick to criticize our factory Bose system and while I'm no expert on the matter, I have no complaints on the current sound system. Most of you have upgraded your audio systems. Please give me some input on what I should do. Do I replace my door speakers, and if I do, which speakers fit into those doors? I once tried to upgrade to some Soundstream 6.5's that I have, only to find that the magnet is too thick to fit. What about the sub? A lot of you guys seem like serious audiophiles, but I'm just a regular dude who wants a decent video set up in my TL. Help me out here....

If you are going to run a S/S amp your bose speakers gotta go. Look at it this way you put down hard earned cash for a good head unit and monitor, don't have your system sound let you down by using stock speakers. You should pick up a pair of componets for front and back. The 6.5 you mentioned didn't fit because you need to make a spacer plate. Our doors have a slightly shallow mounting depth.
