Hi guys...

I recently bought the Alpine CDA-1008 Fold down 7" lcd monitor head unit. I want to install it in the slot above the stock head unit to avoid replacing all speakers, but i need to know if this allows full control of everything as if i were to get all new speakers and drop out the old head unit.

Anything else i need to know about installing the new head unit...

may I ask why you bought it if you plan on keeping all of the stock system?? your not gonna be doing much for yourself if you "add" the alpine deck. Do yourself a BIG favor, pull the stock deck, pull the stock speakers... then bypass the stock amp completly and run some new speaker wires directly from the deck to some new speakers. You'll save yourself a TON of headaches!!
