I used an Alpine V12 in my last car (2ch). I thought it sounded great! It probably wouldn't have been my first choice as a sub amp, but eventually, I decided to use it in tri-way mode and run both the fronts and a sub off of it. I lacked the control to fine tune it as much as I wanted, but the amp took it. Tuff.

I'm sure there are a lot of good amps out there, tho. I don't keep up with it to be able to make suggestions, but you mentioned Alpine... Just stay away from the really cheap stuff.

Alpine's are decent. I love their Head Units. I'd buy one if it didn't mean losing my In-dash changer and factory look. If it were me, I'd buy a nice High Quality amp for High quality components. But don't take it from me, I'm in debt because of it.

What are the Specs on the Diamond's?

Alpine makes some good amps, especially the v12 series, and they aren't all that expensive for the lower powered models.

Why don't you also look at DLS, Diamond, and PG amps - they are probably about the same price range and may be more to your liking.

You know you could always get a High quality used amp if you are on a really tight budget.

Alpine amp should be a good match for those. I wouldn't buy a really good highend amp for those, since they won't be able to keep up.
