Alarm ques... need opinions.
hey
im looking for an alarm/auto starter unit and this one looks really good..

does anyone know about this system and if its good? and also if i were to bring it in to a shop to install will it work universally without a problem or does this work only on certain cars.

The 996 is a great system. We put them in at work.
Personaly I though they were shit, but they are very good quality. They do not carry the brand name like comp or viper, but the alarm is good. We used to use Dei alarms, and now we use prestige. Prestige is the same company as audiovox.
