What should I pay for alarm installation?

I got an alarm with remote start for christmas. I was told that it will cost $150 to install it in TL. Is that true? How much should it be?

Hrmmmmmmmmmm, well the installation is the most important part of any alarm. The wiring should not just be run hap-hazzardly in the car, but should be wire tied along existing harnesses. The brain shouldnt just be shoved up under the steering column either. Naturally all the connections should be secure too. Dont just go by price...it will end up biting you in the end. The expression penny wise, pound foolish is appropriate here. If you have to keep going back for fixes, and/or your car alarm falses all the time, you wont really have saved anything. Take it to a reputable shop in town and try to negotiate a good price. I would steer clear of mass electronics retailers that have install bays like Best Buy and Circuit City etc...
