Alarm install help...

I have installed a Clifford RSX3.5 in my TSX and having problems disarming the factory alarm with the Clifford remote. The factory alarm will eventually disarm if i keep pressing the unlock button on the Clifford after the horn goes crazy. I have not hooked up the Disarm defeat wire because I am not exactly sure how this works. I have the factory arm and disarm wires hooked up from the driver’s door. Do I need to pulse the disarm defeat wire when the unlock button is pressed? I have tried extending the pulse and double pulsing and cant seem to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I’m not sure what you mean. Cut the wire on the factory hood switch? I’m not sure what that would accomplish.

No, the disarm defeat wire is not going to do what you need. Which wire are you using for disarm, and how do you have the disarm and unlock wires from the car tied into the 3.5?

Thanks Eld, I figured it out. I had the factory disarm wire hooked to the seconary unlock output instead of to the factory disarm on the main unit. Everything works great now! Thanks for the help!
