Alarm goes off randomly

Have a 1998 3.0CL, alarm goes off randomly. If I remove the fuse, car doesn't start. Dont know how to disable the alarm or how to fix it. Anyone know whats wrong with it?

I once had similar problem that was finally traced to weak battery w/ low declining voltage when off. At some point the alarm would go off. Car would still crank OK. New battery fixed problem.
