Alarm or any type of Security enhancement for New TL

DId anybody buy another alar or any kind of security enhancement for their 04 TLs. I'm in SoCal if you know a place I could go to (that did a great job for your 04 TL), that would be much appreciated.

I don't live in a bad neighborhood or anything like that, but I would feel unprotected with the factory alarm system. Any thoughts?

Directed Electronics Inc. They make many of the popular alarms, Viper, python, sidewinder, etc. They are also getting into car audio

GO to www.Directed.com and look at all the different alarm brands. They are the best!

Yeah, but is there one better than the other. Is clifford better than Viper, etc. And could I integrate the keyless entry system in the car with the alarm system. Like can I choose when the doors lock and unlock without interfering or trigering the alarm system. In my old 02TLs, the Alarm system sat on top of the keyless. However, if I hit the factory remote, it would automatically trigger the alarm. And sometimes it would cause a short or something because all of the lights on the pannel would flash. I would then have to disconect/reconnect the battery to reset the pannel lights.

I Want a decent alarm with two way that would work well with the keyless entry system. Do you guys have any that work like that?

I have the Clifford Matrix 3.5 that has a 2way remote, remote start, security and keyless entry. Works awesome and I added some additional sensors for extra protection.

That's what I'm talking about. Does it work well with the keyless entry system in the 04 tl. If you don't mind, how much did it cost with installation?

I've got an 03 and it works great. Bottom line though is the installer. Check around for a good place. Look at some of their work and listen to see if they just want to sell the alarm and "throw" it in fast or will they take the time to do the job right.

My alarm has a lot of things with it, but I think it would have been $599 for a stealth install that I got.

Went to an Alarm place here in LA today. They will install the same one for $799. Whjat's up with that. I think that is just too much. Same for the top of the line viper.
