Hey all, just picked up an '03 CLS about a week ago, and I already love it. However, I'm interested in changing the stock stereo out for an Avic-D3. A few questions for anyone who might have one installed:

1. Did you hook it up through the stock amp, or did you bypass the amp altogether (I've heard hooking up to the stock amp results in some odd noises)

2. Do you have the iPod interface? If so, how does it work (one of the reasons I'm thinking D3 is feedback I've gotten from D1 and D2 owners who say their iPod interfaces suck).

3. If you're using the iPod and navigation at the same time (I assume this is poosible), does the head unit automatically reduce ipod volume when it gives voice guided directions?

4. How are the iPod controls on the head unit? Easy to search by playlist, artist, genre, etc?

5. Lastly, I've searched and seen some pics on the forum, but how do you feel it fits and looks in the CL?
