all you will need is a harness (from a accord) and the metra dash kit. when using the harness it bypasses the amp (nothing for you to do but plug in the new harness) the one down side is if you plan on using the factory speakers you will loose the rear sub, the accord doesnt have a sub and no one makes a wire kit for the tl

you can keep the stock sub if you directly wire the stock sub directly to the H/U or something like that however, the stock sub sucks and its way to much of a hassle. just get a aftermarket amp and box, you will be alot better off.

Metra dude metra, search for metra dash kitz website on any search engine and you will find it. I believe this is an old topic now, and VERY OLD shall i say . But good luck you would need the kit which comes in black, paint it to match the interior color. You will lose the voice thingee with the navi, the steering mounted audio controls, and also the rear sub, good news thou is that u can use the Bose's crappy speakers, which i dont think are worth a dime.

get rid of the factory headunit, its the best decision you will make for audio. it will make the factory speakers sound better, and you wont have to worry about playing cd's.
as for what harness to use 99-01 accord

[QUOTE]

I am imagining either he or his misguided, uninformed installer if thinking of the 96-98 honda civic, where the domelight, and keyless entry were tied in with the factory radio
