Post AfterMarket Deck with Factory Navi

I posted this a will back but hoping someone has a anwser for it.

Trying to hookup a pioneer deck with the factory navi and still have some of the same features.

Such as the ability to adjust volume when navi is speaking and also the ability to play through the normal speakers.

I was told by my local shop I would have to buy a navi external speaker made by alpine and I should expect lots of feedback on it.

Looking for a work around ...

Any suggestions?

Sorry...I know this was posted awhile back. Hoping you could help me out. I have a '00 TL with factory NAV and I want to replace the factory headunit. Looking to put in a Pioneer deck.

Was told by the installer...if I put in the new deck, I lose power to the NAV. Looks like you made it work....how'd you do it?
