Aftermarket Alarm

I have a 96 2.5l, and I am just sick and tired of the stock alarm. The remote never works right, the batteries die really quickly and the alarm goes off randomly when I open the doors when using the remote. I've just decided I want an aftermarket alarm. I don't really know anything about alarms, but I do know that I want one with a pager/LCD remote. I found this one on ebay. Is it any good? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...090231240&rd=1
Also, if any of you have any input on what alarm I should get (~$100), it would be much appreciated.

I've never heard of that brand and would stay away from it IMO. I've heard good things about DEI / Viper. Try looking those up on Ebay.

I've owned 2 Crimestopper alarms. I really like them and have heard mostly good things from others as well. I just bought one for my TL. It was on ebay buy-it-now for $129. MSRP is $350. It is an alarm and remote car starter w/ a 2-way LCD remote. Model is CS2015FM.

The one on my SUV (CS-2011RS) is not a 2-way and has excellent range IMO. The 2-way should have a LOT more range.

As a note, you'll also need to buy an Acura security bypass module...can also be found on ebay for ~$30. Just search for "bypass" or "theft bypass" or "bypass module".

I'm thinking about this one by Crimestopper http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33724, xcept I really don't need the remote start. Any other place that I can find discount alarms? Ebay doesnt have much selection of Viper/DEI. This is the only one. It seems like what I want, it's just more expensive. Here's the Viper alarm http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting. BTW, should I get the LCD 2-way or not? I really cant decide and it's quite a bit more expensive. I'm just not sure if it's worth it. Any experience with yours being of great benefit?

I've decided to go with the Crimestopper CS2004TW1 with a 2way remote; no lcd. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...093047754&rd=1. I know you said before that I needed a security bypass module, but I don't think that 1st gens need that. Am i wrong? Finally, how hard is it to install an alarm yourself?
