This is for an 04TSX.

This past spring my radio/center console lighting went out and I saw the service bulletin. Brought it to Acura which was replaced accordingly.

Fast forward to last week. The console is now acting up again, with CDs constantly skipping with audible 'mechanism' sounds when a CD is in play. Hardly now does a CD (burned or legit)ever play without any hiccups.


Do I have a legitamate case in having this unit replaced? On the initial replacement, the service manager had asked me how many clicks I had on the car and stated that I was just above warranty but he said he'd replace it anyway. Now that I have more kms on the car I dont know if Im gonna be hassled with this.
Ive read here somewhere that the units replaced are refurbished ones. I am assuming they are going to replace another with another refurb?

since they replaced the unit and the new one is acting up, i think they will change it. Take it to them and see what they do.
