How do you gain access to the rear speakers?

If some shop installed his stuff, he wouldnt know how to access the rear speakers.

I thought someone was going to say that. The problem was that I dropped off my stuff to get installed. Everything else got installed but they said the 6X9's wouldn't fit. Then they said that I needed to get 5X7's in a custom plate. I just told them to give them back and I'll try to do it myself because I know that people have 6X9's in their CL's.

The magnets were most prob hitting the bars in the trunk. what 6x9's do you have?

Try spacers. I have JBL GTO930 6x9. They fit fine but the magnets are small, though.

i have a pair of 6x9's in my 97 cl...it was a real bitch getting them screwed in there, and i could really only get 3 of the 4 screws in (back corner is really tight to work in...any suggestions how to get that last screw in/what tool to use?!?!?!)

Well, I tried yesterday to put the Kicker 6X9's in. There is no way in hell those things are going in even with spacers. They are just too damn big. I figured it out and I am going to put my old Kicker 6.5" coaxials with speakers brackets in the rear deck. They should be good enough for fillers.

three screws under rear off speakers spaced out then from inside car top of grill slides towards you and up then four 10 mm screws to take out speaker these are a pain in the

With my MB Quart, I ended up pulling the bars a little so they didn't hit the magnet anymore, trunk still opens fine too.

on my 97 only 2 of the 4 are screwed in on my mb quarts and they actually rattle from the sub , what should i use to keep it from rattling

ah i fixed it har har, some locktite holds it down so it dosent rattle, just a lil tho so if i have to get it off it will easily come off
