ac/dc converter noise with dvd

I have my ps2 in my 04 tsx, and to power it, i used one of those cheapy ac/dc converter from fry's. However I am getting a lot of audio noise, and I remember reading a post from eldud sometime ago that it will happen because of some loop that is formed?

My question to all is if there is an ac/dc converter out there than can alleviate this audio noise problem.

Hit up CJams He should be able to out you out. He has a Ps2 installed also, and I think he put on of the electrical noise filters from radio shack.

How do you have the audio signal going in to the HU? If it's the ac/dc converter I would think you would get noise from both audio and video. So I am going to have to say it's the way you have your audio connected to your Head Unit. Play with the rca jacks, sometime if they aren't seated properly it can cause a buzz. Or if the sheild of the rca is touching metal somewhere.

Good Luck!

hm.. basically mine is like this..

snhond3 --> 3 way audio switcher --> #1 = goes to audio unit
#2 = goes to ps2
#3 = not used

So basically when I listen to the radio or my ipod I get no noise. But when I switch to #2 and I use the ps2, get noise when i run over like bumps over the road. My ps2 audio lines are run using the same rca cables as my after market amp.

sounds like your rcas are touching something at certain times.

not necessarily.. it was pretty consistent on hitting a bump. I'm quite sure the rcas aren't rubbing against anything because if that was the case, my stereo rcas would be making popping noise also...
