Hi,

I bought a used 1996 Acura 3.5RL. It has original Acura Audio Cassette Player built in. I want to put a new CD/MP3 player, but need some help.
1.) How do I go about removing the old deck?
2.) It looks like I'm going to need a new face plate for the dash.
Anyone know where I can a kit for it?

Sorry I don't know how to remove and/or access the radio..

You need a Metra dash kit and Metra Wiring harness, all can be purchased from www.crutchfield.com I believe..

 

I tried Crutchfield and spoke to one of their Sales, but they too don't have such kit. Any other sources?

Does anyone know how to remove the face plate?
It looks like no one makes a kit for this type of car, so I'm going to try and fabricate it myself, but do need help removing the face plate first.

Let me know if you find out some steps on how to take the radio out. I heard you have to remove the whole center console and it takes forever.
