5 channel amps

So, for space and visual concerns, I want to use a 5 channel amp for the stereo that I am building in the vette. I have not come across much as far as 5 channel amps go and am wondering what y'all can recommend to me.

What I have found so far is:

Pheonix Gold Octane Series
MTX
Alpine
JBL
Soundstream
PPI

So, am I missing anything or is that pretty much it. If that is it, what do y'all recommend?

TIA

I am going to be running a single 10, 61/2 compnents in the rear and 51/4 in the front, unless i can fit otherwise.

Oh yeah, all of the compnents are going to be Infinity Perfect-I have a hook-up and they sound good for the cash. Oh, and I am pretty much deaf, so I wouldn't be able to tell the difference comapred to anything more high-end.

I just bought a an Alpine mrv-f450 for $300 shipped. I plan on using it to power the 4 door speakers, front seperates, and maybe a sub, while the 6x9's run on the factory amp., But untill I get a sub I will push the 6x9's with the 5th channel.

I'm using and old 5-channel PPI5480. You may be able to find one on e-bay for around $150. You could also try a PPI six channels like PC660 and bridge a pair of them for the sub. Those old PPI are incredible. And those PC series are even better. They will drive your system just fine. I don't about the new ones though since I have no experience with them.

They're ok.

I am a DLS dealer. They ahve a 5-channel that's 50x4 and 250 x 1, wich some sweet tunability on the xover filters. Check dls.se and look at the Classic CA-51.

Ok, what about alphasonik? I know that they used to be really good in the old days. But, since they have been bought over, has anybody had an experience with them?

The Directed amp is o.k. They just put a new heat sink on it this year with blue lights, the guts are the same as they were, right , Batman?

The A7 is like a G-whiz, and I heard a car w/TWO of them. IASCA champ in its class for SQ. Ran 2 tweets, t dome mids, 2 6" midbass, and 2 10"s.

Live from the "Pit" in Vista,

Yes the current 05 amps are a carryover from 04 with the new heatsink. Yet the 5 channel now has an ESP port.

Knowing the changes within that company (PG), I would not recommend any of their amps any longer. A shadow of their former selves.

Eld,

Since when were you able to get the 5 channel? did i miss this.. I might have to get this for the new car.

Never did see a A7 and i am thinking of changing some stuff around in the TL so if you recommend it.. then it's gotta be good.

I'm glad they are going in the right direction... but the Xenon series are not ZPA or Titanium, and the people who made PG amps, processors, and such such killer gear are long gone.
