Hey everybody, I hate to make a new thread regarding this matter but all my research in the past two weeks hasn't got me far. I had a long post typed up but figured it be best to keep it short and sweet. Basically I own a 2005 Acura TL and my passenger side front speaker is blown. So my question is, with just the factory amp is there any aftermarket 6.5" speaker on the market today that would sound better than just replacing with an OEM speaker? Most of the speakers recommended on posts are from 2012, and discontinued. Thanks a lot!

 

Just about any name brand 6.5 components should sound better, i wouldnt spend less than 150 though. I bought NVX 65KIT for 100 however to replace my front speakers and they sounded great! Note they will always sound better with an aftermarket amp that matches its RMS power but you will definitely be upgrading.

 

So many choice's on speakers, you could also look in to raw drivers from parts express.
I would recommend what this guys is talking about^^^.. the only problem is, if you start adding amps, you will get yourself in to spending a lot more money than you think, trust me been there ! and still am...
