Hey guys,

I was looking around to see if anyone knew how to do this or if it was even possible in the first place. I have a 2006 Acura TL w/ navi. I know they ended map updates for the vehicle in like 2014, so spending $100 on outdated maps doesn't seem like a wise investment when I could just buy a whole new GPS system with free map updates for life for around that price. I was wondering if anyone has ever figured out how to switch out the factory maps with some sort of third party maps that I could update whenever it needed to be.

 

For my '07, I can still get 2017 maps. Don't know how much of a difference the '06 from the '07 is.
