I went on crutchfield and fitted my car w/ speakers and the adviser said 5 1/4"

and now im searching here to find that our cars take 6.5"!!!

Should i return and exchange/pay more for the 6.5s or keep the 5 1/4s???

 

No REPLIES? Oh well i just kept searching and im going to return and get the 6.5s...

 

^i don't know about the TLs but with my first gen cl, it was suggested that i do the same thing. this was because the room for the speakers in the doors is very shallow, so if you get a 6.5 with a huge magnet that may be a problem, i'd say search in the tl forums and see what kind of room you have to work with first, then shop for speakers with those dimensions in mind, btw with my speakers i didn't end up putting any spacers in and they ended up being like a couple centimeters away from the glass when it's down
